Everyone is busy getting ready for the end of the eid or Ramadhan month. Here and there, you could see houses lit up with either the old gasoline filled tin can lamp or with nowadays modern electrical flashing angel lights outside their houses. The Raya song can be heard anywhere in FB, as well as Mega Sales being announced in every shopping complex that you went to.
Alas, an upcoming event has been left out from everyone's mind : Malaysian's 53rd National Day. Where's the flags that normally would be put on every car and outside everyone's house at this time of the year? :) Come on, guys, be a bit patriotic.. a wee small flag on top of the car at least. :) Hope you all still have it in your calender: 31st August 2010.
In the midst of fasting and busy preparation for the coming Eid, just need a few moments of your time to remember those that have been fighting and have met their death in defending and liberating the country 53 years ago, so that we, the current generation might enjoy what we are enjoying today.
There... such a long speech Merdeka! Merdeka! Merdeka!
